Data management is so crucial in the age of content deluge. I think it's a great idea for CSCW. These events really spur the innovations on.

Hi Dario. Interesting post and profile. I found your article after reading my friend Jose's Google Wave review. We are also currently working on a collaborative solution to help academics connect, collaborate and share information. The intention is to make the interface so simple it literally speeds up human cognitive response times during varied interaction with the system. Can you point us to ways and means of measuring cognitive processing speeds in response to an interface please? Also interested in events like the one above.

Speaking of "repurposing social software for use in collaborative science", our company has a online research collaboration platform at www.orwik.com. Our goal is to help scientists and researchers share data, research progress online and eventually publish online together. I think our platform " will support new scientific practices and handle data tsunami " and it is "redefining the collaboratory and represents a new frontier for computer supported cooperative work".
