		<description>I agree. Blogging and doing research are a great mix. I&#039;d like to see more PhD students making their preliminary literature reviews and ideas available in a blog format.

On the positive:
* it gets researchers thinking about audience from an early stage
* it gets researchers thinking about writing quality and structure from an early stage
* It gets the ideas out there for others to benefit

on the negative
* if the ideas are still developing, it may be intimidating, and researchers may want to be able to change their mind while the ideas are still evolving.
* there may be concerns about prior publication if the words are going to be copy and pasted into theses or journal articles.</description>
