Excellent resource.
Whenever you find something of this caliber, feel free to share it as a post (you know, you can post freely in ap.com)!

Hi,

I just wanted to point you to a related resource: Technology and Courage by Ivan Sutherland. He also briefly discusses productivity.

Just to give you some background, Alan Kay (another computer science pioneer and inventor of object-oriented programming) was quoted as saying:

"I once asked Ivan, 'How is it possible for you to have invented computer graphics, done the first object oriented software system and the first real time constraint solver all by yourself in one year?" And he said "I didn't know it was hard."
